Colette K. Scott, LMT

Colette received her massage training in 2014 from Alexandar School of Natural Therapeutics. Her expertise includes Thai Yoga Massage, Advanced Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy®, Myofascial Barefoot Massage, Gua Sha, Cupping, Neuromuscular Re-Education, and Intraoral Massage.

Though proficient in multiple modalities, Colette's specialties and passions at Unlocking The Body are Thai Yoga and Ashiatsu Massage. These meditative and interactive styles of bodywork complement her skill set and bring a holistic approach to her treatment sessions. Colette's journey into bodywork began in 2010 while she was living in London and training for powerlifting competitions. Regular massage sessions helped her maintain physical health and prevent injuries during intense training. She was pleasantly surprised to discover that massage also significantly improved her mental and emotional well-being. Diagnosed with Panic Disorder, Depression, and PTSD, Colette found that bodywork offered substantial relief from these complex issues.

Inspired by the positive effects of massage on her own life, Colette decided to help others by enrolling in a beginner's massage course and anatomy class in London. This experience solidified her decision to become a massage therapist. After researching her options, she moved to Tacoma, WA, to pursue her education and licensure.

When she's not at work, Colette enjoys working out, spending time with friends, hosting bad movie watch parties, searching for unique items on Etsy, and indulging in cake while watching late-night horror films.
